Working with Light

Proper lighting helps us understand the spatial form of a room, and helps us realize and appreciate objects by their shapes, surface finishing, texture and color. Without proper lighting, the interior may appear gloomy and uninteresting. On the other hand, when too much light is present there may be a significant amount of glare that creates an uncomfortable feeling in the space. Glare can cause people to feel disoriented because their eyes are trying to focus on what they are trying to look at, and they get mixed signals because their brain is dealing with the glare! Fleming Black Group, Inc., has worked to balance lighting for clients' homes and offices for the past 30 years.
